well, it's pretty obvious what i've done to my blog, so need i say more? other than the fact that i'm proud that it still retains the classic michelle touch of orange and purple, nevermind if they clash and don't blend.

anyway, it's only 1 more day to the end of the chinese new year holidays, and i'm feeling both accomplished and guilty. on the positive side, i've done a preliminary round of mugging for history, geography, math and chemistry, so well, at least that's out of the way. the downside is, my lit text still remains largely untouched (what with the practice of not using scissors during the first day of chinese new year, and hey i need scissors to cut up my oversized post-its), and so i'll probably continue my unable-to-contribute-to-discussion streak during msleow's lessons, which would be really sad.

plus! the concert at nus is in 2 days time, and my chopin has just plummeted deeper down into the depths of pathetic-ness. somehow, the fact that it's a free concert plucks off the stress from me, but of course i know that's not the attitude, 'cos you're supposed to treat every concert seriously and stuff. so i shall psycho myself into thinking that all the overly pro yst people are coming to watch (even when that is probably, not going to be the case), and thereby put in extra effort to practise so as not to humiliate myself and further show off how noise, and not music, is my forte. and anyway, just for random publicity, and more specifically, for rememberance's sake, the concert (whose title i have conveniently forgot, but i daresay it's something like last year's nafa concert, or the year before's, or even further back) is at nus, LT13 on 21st february 2007 at 730pm.

ohwell, i still need to work on my debussy, what with rhythms that i am hopeless at, a severe lack of characterization and imagination, and other stuff. and pray, someone tell me, what does purcell mean exactly by a theory exam? (i hope it's not harmony, because i cannot do harmony, at all. i stress, at all.)

oh, and while you're thinking about that, tell me as well, what implications and benefits can there be from the study of gothic literature? because the answers to that question that i can think of are kind of, tenuous (and are probably sheer nonsense).

and now to deviate from the music talk now dominating this post, watching too much tv makes certain advertisements stick out like a sore thumb in your mind, albeit in a good way. i like the ending chorus part for the trailer of 'the protege' - especially the last chord, because it is awfully majestic / mind-blowing / grand! plus the dbs advertisements, that whole series. :D okay, i know this is irrelevant because no one else focuses on the advertisements, but nevermind.

okay, better get down to annotating my lit text now. (:

[edit] twothirteen has a blog, yay for us (and thanks to adelle)! it's TWO-ONE-THREE, not ONE-TWO-THREE. XD [/edit]

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)

loves you!♥

very plain, she knows; but this is probably herself in its entirety - nothing more than a compilation of perhaps-boring-to-you little things (and the occasional Important Event), but also nothing less than all the brilliant memories which constitutes her life, and perhaps yours.

also interpreted as an inability to express with other things but words (nothing more, nothing less!), although even words sometimes won't do enough. but she does like orange.

v2.0 (230208): maybe solid grey isn't that fantastic after all. but wordy is good, all the same. she's weird, she knows.

ver. i-pretend-that-it-is-3.0-when-i-know-it-is-not (070608): i am boring, take that. (:

v4.0 (200908): got bored, so cut down on the quasi-fanciful stuff even more. perfectly plain now, though somehow the background still doesn't work on safari / google chrome. ):
